Rocky Mountain Tour

Join Motorcycle-Travel at STURGIS in 2018 and/or 2019 – the world’s most famous Harley Davidson Bike Rally.

This annual event is the largest and most authentic motorcycle rally in the United States. Approximately half a million bikers participate each year, most of them Americans, with the stage set for an amazing experience.

This is the very heart of America’s Biker culture – where the Harley people meet. Diversity from the asphalt cowboys to the city’s wealthy bikers. Everyone meets in friendship and kindness, where the ultimate aim is to be part of The Greatest Biker Rally in the World’.

Every year, the world’s Harley enthusiasts gather for a joint celebration, on an old American Sioux battlefield. At least 250,000 shiny Harley Davidsons of every conceivable model are present at the event.

Besides the rally, the trip also features an amazing route, providing you with an unparalleled experience. This ride will take you though the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone National Park, Black Hills Mountain, Mt. Rushmore National Monument, Crazy Horse Monument, Badlands National Park, and onto the great grass-plains that characterize the West.

An experience for a lifetime.

Day to Day Tour Programme

Day 1: Denver

Welcome to Denver.

Our tour guide will greet you at Denver Airport and escort you to your hotel.

After check in, the rest of the day is at your disposal.

Day 2: Sightseeing in downtown Denver

After breakfast we will meet up for a sightseeing tour of downtown Denver.

In the afternoon we will collect our motorcycles and in the evening, MC-Rejser will host a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Denver to Cheyenne, approx. 175 miles

With breakfast out of the way, we then ride out of Denver and soon you will get a taste of what it is like to ride the roads in the Rocky Mountains.

On the way we will pass the famous “Flat Irons of Boulder”, then continuing our ride into the mountains. Beautiful, soft bends bring us up to 7,000 feet for the next 75 miles, until we break for lunch.

Refreshed from lunch we then change direction and head northeast, down the mountain directly toward our destination for the night, Cheyenne. But not before a stop in “Thunder Mountain”

You will have the opportunity to visit Colorado’s largest Harley Davidson shop.

After the mountains we start to see the vast green prairie, “breathtaking” Cheyenne is the capital and largest city in the state of Wyoming, founded in 1867 with the arrival of the great railroad. “The Frontier Days Old West Museum” is a must for those who are interested in the old Wild West, horse-drawn vehicles, Indian culture, Rodeo Cowboys etc. and even a real saloon.

Day 4: Cheyenne to Rapid City, approx. 240 miles

In the morning we will ride into the Black Hills National Park. Stopping at “Fort Laramie”, founded in 1854 one of the oldest and most significant manned garrisons in Wyoming, and today a very important historical monument. Then we follow the “Oregon Trail Ruts” where pioneering vehicles through centuries left their deep imprint. We will also visit the majestic “Thunder Basin National Grassland. Continuing our ride to Rapid City in South Dakota. This will be our base and home for the next 4 days.

Rapid City is the central town of the Sturgis Rally; where the main events take place. Our hotel is approximately a 25 minute ride from Sturgis itself
